gansango dance company
Gansango is directed by Etienne Cakpo, originally from Benin and now a choreographer and teacher based in Seattle, Washington. The company performances fuse music and movement from across the African continent, drawing heavily from the dance and music traditions of Benin, Ghana and Togo, among other countries.

"Dance-Dance" is an original contemporary African dance piece choreographed by Etienne Cakpo and performed by Niyafath Cakpo, Kine Camara, Hanna Kogan, Gal Snir and Selorm Tamakloe. The piece was presented as part of a performance called "Round-Trip Africa" in February 2020. Round-Trip Africa was presented in collaboration with Vashon Center for the Arts.
